Orange says Brits need not miss the classics

Brits on Orange tariffs need never miss a classic movie again, the network said this week.

The company did so while highlighting the results of a recent survey it conducted to promote its Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 offer, which enables customers to receive a free cinema ticket.

The poll found that while 46 per cent of people have fibbed about seeing a film to impress their peers, men are more likely to tell porkies when it comes to movie knowledge.

Nearly one in five Orange users who said they had watched mafia classic The Godfather actually had not, it discovered.

One in ten admit to lying about seeing much-loved romance flick Dirty Dancing, while other pictures commonly lied about included Gone With the Wind, Rocky and The Shawshank Redemption.

"Our customers can save face - and some money - by taking advantage of our famous Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 offer," spokesperson Andrew Pearcey said.

Meanwhile, earlier this week saw the network unveil a mobile phone available exclusively on Orange in the UK.

The Motorola DEXT is the first of its kind to use the MOTOBLUR 1 solution.
