3 HTC Hero tariff is "compelling"

The HTC Hero with Spotify is now available on 3 - and the tariff offered is "compelling".

According to the network, Spotify Premium is included with the contract that will cost £35 per month with an upfront fee of £97.86.

For this, 3 provides 24 months of the music service, unlimited email, Facebook and internet browsing, free Skype-to-Skype calls and 750 cross-network minutes.

In addition, users can text as much as they like for no extra charge, as well as call other numbers on 3 for as long as they want.

Those who prefer to pay as they go can pick up the HTC Hero Spotify Premium deal for £369.99, with top-ups from £5 and bundles of free swag each time they buy credit.

Of the actual handset, 3 said it has a "highly responsive" touch screen. Users may also find the five-megapixel camera a worthy addition to the spec.

However, some reviewers have said that the pricing for this offer might not be as competitive as it seems.

Tech Digest suggested that the upfront fee appears to be a "bit steep".
