Motorola launches 'cheap device ideal for messaging'

A new handset from Motorola is ideal for those looking to get their hands on a messaging-focused mobile phone, it has been suggested.

The manufacturer announced the launch of its Clutch i465 device recently and explained that with a full qwerty keyboard and a low price tag the model could be ideal for some customers.

Rick Gadd, vice president of Motorola Mobile Devices, said the firm was pleased with how the handset had turned out and added those who are "budget-conscious" and looking for "dependable push-to-talk" services may enjoy it.

The phone is being launched in the US on Boost Mobile's contract-free network and the group's chief marketing officer Neil Lindsay commented it could be seen as "a terrific addition to our diverse handset line-up".

"If you like to text as much as you talk, this is the device for you," he added.

Motorola recently launched its flagship Aura model with the help of former Manchester United star David Beckham.
