New BlackBerry 'faster, smaller and easier'

The various ways in which Research In Motion have upgraded their latest qwerty-enabled smartphone have been discussed by one expert.

Gareth Beavis explained in a recent article published on the T3 website that the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has been upgraded to be faster, smaller and more user-friendly than its predecessor.

One area he said this was noticeable was in the new model's 624 MHz processor and the revised 5.0 version of the integrated operating system (OS).

Changes here, Mr Beavis added, have resulted in a menu that puts everything in areas that make more sense than they have in the past. "For instance music and video are now grouped together in one place," he noted.

"But this OS update hasn't really affected the main core of the new Bold, with messaging still as seamless as ever to set up," the writer concluded.

There are a range of operators now supporting the BlackBerry Bold 9700, including Vodafone, T Mobile and Orange.

Which network would you consider the Bold on?
