A US website has gotten a first look at a new smartphone from Samsung that uses Nokia technology.
Mobileburn reports that the Samsung i8510, which comes equipped with the Finnish manufacturer's S60 user interface, was recently unveiled at an event in New York and is fitted with a range of other features.
It is noted that the handset is a slider model that is equipped with an eight-megapixel camera as well as a 2.8inch QVGA screen capable of displaying 16 million colours.
In addition, the Samsung i8510 is praised as an "imaging powerhouse" that "features the ability to take panoramic photographs and uses the handset's built-in GPS receiver to geotag photos with location information".
Video editing, an FM radio, 3D surround sound and support for microSD, Bluetooth 2.0 and A2DP are among the other specifications and data capabilities include quad-band GSM as well as dual-band UMTS and HSDPA.
This week Telecom Paper reported that UK retailer Phones4u had begun selling Samsung's Tocco handset to consumers.
