Following the success of a number of brain training games on handheld consoles, it has emerged a new one has come to mobile phones.
Pocket Gamer reports this week that Apple iPhone users will be able to pick up KuGon from the newly-launched App Store and put their grey matter to the test.
However, it states gamers familiar with popular titles such as the Dr Kawashima's Brain Training series on the Nintendo DS and DS Lite may be in for a surprise as KuGon takes a slightly different approach.
It states that the focus here is less on maths testing and instead offers more than 95 different puzzle games and trivia-based rounds.
"KuGon can be played for just minutes at a time to keep up with your cerebral exercises, whilst remaining entertaining enough to provide hours of brain-busting gameplay," the article states.
Dr Kawashima's Brain Training promises to offer players their 'brain age' and has been praised by Glenn Rees, National Executive Director of Alzheimer's Australia, for its contribution to maintaining mental health.
