BT Total Broadband
If you’re reading this, then you’re online on the internet, and chances are, you’re connected through broadband. So, you should already know what it is. BT Total Broadband is BT’s offering, and it encompasses a range of different products, depending on how much you use the internet, how fast you want it to be, whether you want to go wireless, and so on.
BT Total Broadband comes in 3 different varieties:
BT Total Broadband Option 1 – perfect for light and occasional users:
- £8.95 p/m for the first 6 months, then £17.99 p/m for the remaining 12 months
- Speeds up to 8 Meg
- Wired router as standard (upgrade to the BT Home Hub for a one-off fee of £30)
- 5Gb data allowance per month
- Additional phone line with inclusive UK calls
- BT Digital Vault – 5Gb FREE secure online storage
- Basic online security
BT Total Broadband Option 2:
- £13.99 p/m for the first 6 months, then £22.99 p/m for the remaining 12 months
- Speeds up to 8 Meg
- BT Home Hub wireless router as standard
- 8Gb data allowance per month
- Additional phone line with inclusive UK calls
- BT Digital Vault – 5Gb FREE secure online storage
- Advanced online security
- Hook up BT Vision to get top flight TV with your broadband
BT Total Broadband Option 3:
- £18.99 p/m for the first 6 months, then £22.99 p/m for the remaining 12 months

- BT Home Hub wireless router as standard
- Unlimited data per month (Fair use policy applies)
- Unlimited WiFi minutes through BT Openzone WiFi hotspots
- Additional phone line with inclusive UK calls

- Hook up BT Vision to get top flight TV with your broadband
BT Vision
As well as broadband, BT also offer digital TV, with their BT Vision package. This combines both Freeview through your own TV aerial, and a huge selection of On Demand content, things like Films, TV shows, Music, Sport and Kids’ programmes, from BT themselves.
Not only that, but the ‘V-box’, the set-top box that BT Vision uses, has a built-in hard drive, letting you pause & rewind live TV, record up to 80 hours without tapes or discs, and record an entire series at the touch of a button, instead of faffing around getting a video ready to record it on.
All that can be yours, for a one-off connection fee to BT Vision of £30. That’s a lot of TV for not a lot of money!
(Note: On Demand content is charged extra, either on Pay Per View from 29p each, or with monthly packages, from £4 per month. Also, you will need BT Total Broadband to use BT Vision.)
BT Mobile
BT Mobile is, as you would imagine, BT’s mobile phone service. However, it’s split up into 2 distinct types:
BT Mobile
Featuring a great range of calling plans and handsets, BT Mobile gives you all the benefits of a great mobile phone service, with a range of cool handsets.
BT Fusion Mobile
BT Fusion Mobile uses the new breed of mobile phones, that can connect through the normal mobile signal, or through WiFi, meaning that when you’re in range of your BT Home Hub, or a BT Openzone hotspot, it goes through your Hub or the hotspot. And when it does that, your 1 minute of talk time becomes 4 minutes. You use can talk for 4 minutes, and use just 1 minute of your talk time!
Of course, you need special handsets for that, as normal phones won’t do it. So, you’ll also get an exclusive handset when you sign up to BT Fusion Mobile.
BT Together
This is BT’s landline service, providing cheap or free calls, and with a range of packages available, it gives you the freedom to pick the best calling plan for you. Prices starts from £10.50 per month (for the basic line rental)

Line rental is £10.50 per month on all plans, calling packages are also available extra.
